1. Production Introduction:
Compared with the standard pallet racking system, the dual depth Double Deep rack storage system can store two pallets in the depth direction. When accessing the rear pallet, a special forklift that can reach the shelf must be used. When the accessibility of the items is important and each item needs to store multiple pallets, using this system has better benefits. Shelf height is limited by the lifting height of the forklift, which is generally 6-8 meters.
Double Deep rack storage system can store two pallets in the depth direction, while the double-sided pallet can store four pallets. Double-sided shelves reduce the space occupied by the aisle and increase storage density, but at the same time reduce the selectability of the pallet.
Due to following principle of first-in-first-out, the rapid access rate of 50% makes the system have reasonable storage circulation and also makes good use of available space. This system is a better way to increase warehouse capacity when backup systems that require a large number of homogeneous pallet types, such as drive-in systems, are not available.
2. Product Application:
Double deep rack solution must use special forklifts that can reach the rack. Due to the limitation of the weight of the cargo, the lifting height of the forklift can generally reach about 9 meters. The upper layer of the system is equipped with guide rails to help the forklift driver store the pallets, and at the same time, it helps to reduce the errors of the forklift operator and the damage caused by the goods.
Double deep rack solution is an extension of the adjustable pallet rack. It requires a professional forward-moving forklift or accessories suitable for the forward-moving reach truck forklift. Its capacity is 30% more than its predecessor, but only 50% of the trays can be accessed immediately.
However, when spare systems such as drive-in systems that require a large number of homogeneous pallet types are not available, this system is a better way to increase warehouse capacity.
3. Basic Components:
Selective pallet racking is composed of basic element such as frames and beams. It also consists of a full range of accessories to fulfill all of your requirements. The system is designed for the optimized storage of goods of all sizes and weights.
The finish of all painted parts is an Epoxy-powder coating polymerized at 180 °C.
The standard colors are RAL 5015 (= sky blue) for the frames and RAL 2004 (=pure orange) for the beams. Protectors are painted in RAL 1004 (= golden yellow). Some smaller parts have a galvanized finishing. Special colors are available on request.

Double-Deep is Last In First Out (LIFO). This type of racking reduces the amount of accessible stock keeping units (SKU's) due to 50% of SKU's being behind pallets when storage locations are at full capacity. Can increase pallet storage by as much as 10-15% depending on racking layout.
Double-deep is better suited to stock that has a medium to long term shelf life. Highly perishable goods aren't recommended for this style of racking due to LIFO racking type.
